I have adopted a beach
Some 20 km north of
My town
-Puerto Madryn-
Nobody goes there
Only trash washes up
Close to the cliffs…
The north shore of
Golfo Nuevo.
The wind blows,
Patagonia breathes.
A dead whale…
The nineteenth
Stranded,
this season.

But… quietly
Removing
Plastic bottles
And crate-pieces
Ropes
plastic bags…

I talk to the wind
I walk the 5 kilometers
The spring sunny day
Coloring
My skin
You
Get off
The car
And for some hours
Please
Turn off the engine
Take a ride on a beach
And clean it up
A little
Walking
Breathing
Make love to Nature.
I have adopted my beach
Silently
You don’t know where
Attitude is
What counts.
